Ringkasan program
This program is designed to provide working professional audiologists with the complex and diverse skills necessary to meet the challenges of the dynamic health care marketplace. It covers 9 courses (45 credit hours) over a minimum of 18 months. The program combines the professional experience of the College of Health Professions with the academic excellence of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to provide an opportunity for working professionals to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
Modul program
The program modules are as follows: PH 101: Principles of Public Health; SPA 7306 Audiologic Assessment in a Medical Setting (5 credits); SPA 7318 Applied Auditory Electrophysiology (5 credits); SPA 7319 Balance Disorders: Evaluation and Treatment (5 credits); SPA 7325 Audiologic Rehabilitation/Auditory Processing Disorders (5 credits); SPA 7343 Cochlear Implants and Assistive Technology (5 credits); SPA 7348 Principles of Amplification (5 credits); SPA 7353 Occupational and Environmental Hearing Conservation (5 credits); SPA 7566 Counseling Individuals with Hearing Loss (5 credits); SPA 7391 Business and Professional Issues in Hearing Health Care (5 credits).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have earned a master's degree in audiology, one year of post-master's work experience, plus at least one of the following: state license in audiology, ASHA CCC-A or Board Certification by ABA. They must have a minimum grade average of B for all upper-division undergraduate work and scores that are acceptable for the program to which the student is applying on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE); upper level undergraduate minimum GPA of 3.0; they should have an average verbal GRE of 500 and average quantitative GRE of 574.
