The Doctor of Child, studentsth, and Human Services (CYHS) Program is grounded in the belief that professionals must be prepared to be proactive, ethical agents of change in systems and organizations that affect the quality of life for children, studentsths, families, and other vested individuals. This program helps to strengthen the leadership skills and behaviors of educators and other human service professionals as a means to improve the lives of children, studentsths, and individuals across the life span. CYHS participants will be prepared not only to respond to current issues and trends in education and human service settings, but also to predict, prepare for, advocate for, and shape the future of services for the benefit of diverse populations of stakeholders. The CYHS program will enhance the skills and behaviors of practitioners who are actively engaged in education and human services, and will develop the abilities of individuals who seek to become employed in child, studentsth, and/or human services. The Doctor of Child, studentsth, and Human Services Program provides an opportunity for professionals to earn a doctor of education (Ed.D.) degree while remaining employed.

Leadership to Shape the Future, Leadership for Systemic Changes in Child, studentsth and Human Services, Political Processes and Social Issues, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Current Issues in Human Development, Ethical Issues for Leadership in Child, studentsth and Human Services.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Minimum requirements include a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution; a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (averaged across all undergraduate schools attended), or a 3.5 graduate-level grade point average on a 4.0 scale (averaged across all graduate schools attended). The requirement for 18 semester hours of course work in psychology will be waived with a score of 600 or higher on the Graduate Record Examination, Psychology Test. A combined score greater than 1000 for GRE verbal and quantitative is preferred. The GRE Psychology Test is recommended, but not required. For International students TOEFL is required while their native is not English. Achievement of these pre requirements is necessary for an application to be considered for a doctoral program. Higher GPA and GRE scores indicating greater potential to complete doctoral-level work will enhance an application. A combined GRE verbal and quantitative score greater than 1000 is preferred. Other factors include: (1) previous courses taken, especially quantitative for Ph.D. and biological for Clinical Health and Clinical Neuropsychology; (2) previous clinical and research experience; (3) evidence of interest in psychology; (4) the applicant's personal statement; and (5) three letters of recommendation.
