This program is intended for experienced practitioners in teaching and curriculum – such as teachers in preK-12 schools or higher education institutions, curriculum coordinators, professional development providers, teacher educators and other education professionals – holding a professional job in the field and interested in improving their practice and advancing in their career.

Modul program

Program Core (18 credits) : EDU 525 Theory and Research in Teaching and Learning; EDU 526 Theory and Research in Curriculum and Change; ED 513 Academic Writing for Educators.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent by the time they enter the program at Warner, with the exception of those applying to early admission programs. Applicants must have the ability to do graduate work at the University of Rochester, as demonstrated by their past academic performance and their academic writing skills. Applicants must demonstrate sufficient communication and interpersonal skills to perform well in their chosen career in education. In addition admission requirements include: Acceptance into the Ed.D. in Teaching and Curriculum; Approved transfer of 36 credits of prior graduate coursework; Documented professional experience in the same field of specialization; Holding a professional job that will serve as the site for the action research dissertation; Career goals that are consistent with the accelerated program (that is, advancing and taking leadership responsibilities in one’s current career and/or in the preparation of practitioners in the same area of specialization – not preparing for an academic career); Capacity and commitment to sustain the program’s intense pace.
