Ringkasan program

This program is a professional degree program principally for preparing skilled practitioners. Students who do not already hold a district-level (superintendent) endorsement may tailor course work in their emphasis area to meet that license requirement. Contact the Educational Leadership program for current district license requirements. The student’s Ed.D. program is directed by a minimum of five members of the university graduate faculty, including a major professor with substantial expertise in the area of emphasis, two other faculty members with strengths in the area of emphasis, one faculty member outside the student’s specialization, and one faculty member, appointed by the dean of the Graduate School, from another department within the College of Education who serves as the chair of the examination committee for the oral defense of the dissertation. Each student’s program of study is individualized with the approval of the major professor and the supervisory committee to optimize the student’s interests, expertise, and goals.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by the cognizant regional accrediting agency and undergraduate preparation in the proposed major field equivalent to that acquired by a graduate of Kansas State University, or evidence of an appropriate background for undertaking an advanced degree program. Applicants must have undergraduate grade average of 3.0 or better in the junior and senior years. Undergraduate preparation substantially equivalent to that given by K-State in the specific field in which the applicant expects to do graduate work and undergraduate preparation in closely related or supporting subjects adequate to support advanced work in the field of the applicant’s choice. Applicants must have a score of 399 or higher on the MAT, or scores at the 50th percentile or higher on each part of the GRE. International students whose native language is not English must make available the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 550 is required on the paper and pencil version of the TOEFL examination or a score of 213 on the computer version of the TOEFL.
