The mission of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is to provide a high quality engineering education to a diverse population ranging from those who would otherwise not pursue higher education to those seeking advanced degrees. This is accomplished by the unique integration of a committed and highly qualified faculty; innovative teaching and curricula; extensive opportunities for, and productivity in, research and practice; state of the art facilities; and a supportive learning environment. The Office of Residence Life and Housing (ORLH) at Morgan State University support and is an integral part of the educational and social development of students. Additionally, they provide a safe and comfortable living environment that enhances the academic success and achievements of the students. Students who live in residence halls are afforded a variety of opportunities for personal growth and development. They accomplish this through both structured and informal programs, and leadership opportunities throughout the academic year. The residence life program strives to provide an educational setting that integrates classroom and interpersonal experiences into a holistic learning experience. They also provide a living-learning environment that is conducive to the educational growth and personal development of the student. ORL provides quality residence hall programs, activities and living facilities that encourage student participation through hall government and leadership positions within the halls. The residence halls feature student rooms with telephone, computer and cable access, study rooms, laundry facilities and computer labs. They tailor residence life programs and activities to respond to the cultural, social, recreational and educational needs of students.
