Ringkasan program
This dual program provides an understanding of the legal and managerial frameworks of public service, nonprofit, and quasi-governmental agencies. In the final year of the program, a research paper on a topic in both areas of study is supervised by faculty advisors from both schools.
Modul program
This program module includes SPEA-V 502 Public Management (3 cr.) or SPEA-V 525 Public Management (3 cr.), SPEA-V 506 Statistical Analysis for Effective Decision Making (3 cr.), SPEA-V 517 Public Management Economics (3 cr.), SPEA-V 526 Financial Management for Nonprofit Organizations (3 cr.) or SPEA-V 560 Public Finance and Budgeting (3 cr.), SPEA-V 540 Law and Public Affairs (3 cr.), SPEA-V 598 Governing and Leading in a Global Society (3 cr.), SPEA-V 600 Capstone in Public and Environmental Affairs (3 cr.), one of the following: specialization (12 credit hours): the student chooses a field of specialization and develops a program of specialization courses in consultation with the SPEA program advisor, Research Paper (1 credit hour): SPEA-V 590 (min. of 1 cr.) Research in Public Affairs, a required research paper, is written during the final year of the program; Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) requirements: (84 credit hours): students are required to complete 84 credit hours of law courses and satisfy all requirements for the degree Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a grade point average of "B" (3.0) or higher and a combined score of 1000 or more (verbal and quantitative) on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or a total score of 500 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with coursework (not mandatory) in MATH-M 110 or higher (algebra), ECON-E 201 (microeconomics), and SPEA-K 300 (statistics). International applicants must have a minimum TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based version), 237 (computer-based version), total score 92 (Internet-based version) or an IELTS score of 6.5 or successful completion of ELS Language Centers Intensive Program Level 112. Students from Japan must have a "Pre-First Grade" score on the STEP Eiken.
