Ringkasan program
This degree represents the highest level of academic and musical achievement at UNLV. The program is designed for those students in the areas of voice, percussion and woodwinds, and wind band conducting who choose to pursue careers in both performance and college level teaching. D.M.A curriculum provides students with intensive academic preparation and teaching of the type that will enable them to be effective pedagogues and function successfully in an academic environment, without neglecting their continued development as performing artists.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must hold a baccalaureate or advanced degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. Have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.75 (4.00=A) for the bachelor's degree or a minimum 3.00 for the last two years. A student who has an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum overall GPA of 3.00 may, at the option of the Graduate Dean and department, be admitted to an advanced degree program with an undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.00 but less than 3.00.Proof of English proficiency if students are from a country where English is not the native language, or if students did not receive a degree from an institution where English is the language of instruction. Acceptable documents include.(TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 (written) or 213 (computerized) or 80 (Internet based) Michigan Test of English Language Placement (MTELP) with a minimum score of 85.
