Ringkasan program
This program leads to a doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in art history with specialization in ancient, medieval, renaissance/baroque, modern, and Asian art, and in the history of architecture. Normally, work in the doctoral program commences after completion of a master's degree in art history. This program is tailored to meet the needs and objectives of students those who want to acquire a solid foundation in the field before pursuing studies leading to a Ph.D. degree. Doctoral students in East Asian art must demonstrate proficiency in either Chinese or Japanese language, depending on the field of study, and have a beginning reading knowledge of the second East Asian language. Students whose areas of study require other languages should consult their advisors about appropriate language training. They must also pass a reading examination in an appropriate European language. Students with graduate degrees in art history can pursue opportunities in teaching at all levels.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must hold a master’s degree in art history or a closely related field from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.00. Students must have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 575 on the paper-based test.
