Ringkasan program
This program is pursued by outstanding students with an intense interest in independent study and research. It consists of advanced coursework beyond the Master's degree, a written and oral comprehensive preliminary examination, extended and in-depth research, a written dissertation, and a final oral defense of the research. The Structural Engineering and Mechanics group seeks to develop and apply advanced materials and structural systems to enhance the sustainability and resiliency of the built infrastructure through experimental, theoretical, and computational research at scales ranging from nanometers to large structures.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have a bachelor's degree from an EAC-ABET accredited college or university in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. They should have an overall GPA of at least 3.0. International students should have a TOEFL score of at least 80 on the internet-based Test (iBT) and a minimum test scores for each section: listening (15 points), reading (20 points), writing (20 points) and speaking (20/23/26 points). The maximum total score for the iBT is 120 with each section worth 30 points. They should have an overall band IELTS score of at least 6.5 and a minimum test scores for each section: listing (6.5), reading (6.5) and writing (6.5).
