Ringkasan program
"Students in this specialization must have at least two years of regular classroom teaching experience prior to admission to the program. The specialization program requires a minimum of 35 - 40 quarter hours of graduate divided as listed below. Please refer to the Description of Ph.D. program for information on the core, Curriculum and Instruction and research components of the program. A minimum of 35 graduate quarter hours must be earned in the area of Middle Level Education. Transfer of graduate credit earned at other institutions must be approved by the faculty advisor and the doctoral committee before inclusion in a program. Recent graduate level course work in professional education and/or the cognate area may be accepted by the student’s faculty advisor and doctoral program committee. At least 8 hours of the comprehensive examination will be devoted to the specialization area. The student and his/her committee must assure the presence of sufficient practicum and special problems experiences in the program. The number and nature of such experiences will vary with the student’s background and competencies."

"Applications for admission to the master’s program in Middle Childhood may be completed and submitted online, at www.ohio.edu/graduate . Questions about application processes, materials and criteria for admission may be directed to Office of Student Services, 124 McCracken Hall, 740-593-4400. Requirements for retention in the program include: completion of all required professional education courses with a grade of B or higher in each, an overall grade-point-average of B or better, and a grade-point-average of 2.75 in each teaching field content specialization. Eligibility for the teaching license requires successful performance on each of three sections of the PRAXIS II examination: Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) and one content exam for each of the two teaching field content specializations
