Ringkasan program
This program is designed for persons who are interested in and show promise of becoming scholars and leaders in the domains of curriculum, instruction, and teacher education, and educational policy at the K-12 or college level, or in local, state, regional, national, or international institutions or agencies. The program is characterized by its interdisciplinary and inters institutional perspectives on problems and issues of educational practice. Faculty and doctoral students who are associated with this emphasis area are concerned with the relationship between teacher education and teacher learning at the pre service, induction, and in service levels. The courses that are related to the teacher education and teacher learning emphasis area focus on the enterprise of teacher education, the practices of teacher educators, and the formal and informal learning of prospective, beginning, and experienced teachers over time and in different settings.

The modules include TE 901 Proseminar in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy I 3; TE 902 Proseminar in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy II 3; CEP 930 Educational Inquiry 3; CEP 932 Quantitative Methods in Educational Research I 3; TE 931 Introduction to Qualitative Methods in Educational Research 3; TE 934 Introduction to Quantitative Methods in Educational Research 3; CEP 933 Quantitative Methods in Educational Research II 3; TE 939 Special Topics in Advanced Qualitative Methodology 3; TE 995 Research Practicum in Curriculum, Teaching, and Educational Policy 1 to 3.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students are required to complete their bachelor’s degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree, as well as high scholastic standing and suitable preparation for the intended field of study. Students should have obtained a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Students whose first language is not English and who are admitted to Michigan State University with regular admission must meet one of the following language proficiency requirements. They should have also obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 80 on internet based test (with no sub score below 19 for reading, listening, and speaking; no writing sub score below 22) and 550 on paper based test (with no sub score below 52). An IELTS score of 6.5 or higher is also required. An average score of at least 80 to 85 with no subs score below 80 is required for Michigan State University English Language Test (MSUELT) and an average score of 83 or higher (with no sub score below 80) is required for Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB).
