This is one of ten departments in the College of Science and Mathematics at Wright State University and has a strong reputation as a science-based program that appreciates both the value of sound methodology and theory and the need to apply and test theory against practical problems of everyday life. The department is very fortunate to be part of a college and university that appreciates the value of Psychology as a scientific discipline and that encourages its faculty to actively participate in multi-disciplinary collaborations to explore and potentially to help solve problems associated with complex technologies and systems where the human element continues to be fundamental to success.

This university provides campus housing to students through residential halls and apartments. All students are eligible to be accommodated in Hamilton Hall; it has double and triple occupancy rooms. Its amenities include fully furnished rooms with cable, high speed internet, fridge, microwave, phone, private floor restrooms and showers, air conditioning, floor lounges, laundry facilities, computer lab in lobby. Students who are in the University Honors Program are eligible to be accommodated in Honors Community, it has double occupancy rooms. Its amenities include fully furnished rooms, suite-style bathroom, cable, high speed internet, phone, microwave, refrigerator, vending machines, laundry facilities, floor lounges, classrooms in building, computer lab, convenience store, coffee shop, tanning salon, salon, community kitchen, air conditioning. In the Woods hall all students are eligible to be accommodated in it, has single, double, triple and quad occupancy rooms. Its amenities include fully furnished, suite-style bathroom, cable included, high speed internet, phone with voicemail, microwave, refrigerator, floor lounges, laundry, vending machines, gazebos, grills, garden, air conditioning. The College Park apartment is for 3 quarters of WSU housing, transfer or continuing sophomore, or be at least 21 years of age. It has 4 bedrooms, two bath apartments.
