Ringkasan program

This program is designed primarily for those interested in scholarly careers as researchers and teachers. This program emphasizes theory, methods and research in the field to enable its graduates to become effective teachers and contribute to the development and dissemination of public administration knowledge. The degree program also prepares graduates to pursue other careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors. The program of study requires the student to undertake advanced study in the major area of public administration and management, one of four minor fields, social science methods, and non-dissertation research hours. The first year of study provides the theoretical and methodological foundation for the second year study of a minor field and non-dissertation research. The third year of study includes a qualifying examination, paper defense, and dissertation proposal. The dissertation research should be defended by the end of the fourth year.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Students should have a 2.8 grade point average or higher on all undergraduate work or a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of their undergraduate degree or a 3.4 GPA on their master's degree. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
