Ringkasan program
This program prepares nurse scholars capable of integrating theory, research, and practice into their roles as researchers, educators, and/or administrators. Coursework focuses on the management of complex systems and health policy as well as the core content in theory, research, and statistics. All students study a cognate outside nursing in another field, such as anthropology, child and family studies, psychology, education, management, medical ethics, philosophy, public health, social work, or statistics.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicants must have a master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program. Some outstanding applicants prepared at the bachelor’s level in nursing may also be considered. Cumulative 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale for previous college work is required. Successful completion of basic statistics, graduate nursing theory, and research courses are required prior to enrollment. Competitive score on the verbal and quantitative portions of the Graduate Record Examination and A TOEFL score of 550 or above if native language is not English are required. The admission process includes a personal interview, an essay describing personal and professional aspirations, a sample of scholarly work, and references as specified in the application materials.
