Ringkasan program
This program is designed for individuals who wish to teach pre-service art education or art museum education at the university level or to pursue scholarly inquiry and/or leadership roles in public and private education settings. Applicants to the program must have completed the equivalent of a master’s degree in art education and have obtained teacher certification in art. Those who do not hold a master’s degree in art education or have never obtained teacher certification may still be accepted to the program but may be required to complete a minimum of 9 semester hours of art education leveling course work. It provides the student with the framework necessary for advanced work in art education, while courses in research methodology teach the competencies necessary for independent research.

Students must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Students should have a 2.8 grade point average or higher on all undergraduate work or a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of their undergraduate degree or a 3.4 GPA on their master's degree. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
