Ringkasan program
This degree is unique to Texas and provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in teaching, research and publishing, grant writing, and advanced rehabilitation counseling practice. Students additionally have the flexibility to design their own specialty areas by utilizing 15 hours of electives and independent study. Specialized course offerings in rehabilitation administration, vocational assessment, forensic rehabilitation, addictions, and assistive technology are available.

The modules include EPSY 6350/8350 Introduction to Statistics, REHS 7302 Grant Writing in Human Services, REHS 8312 Advanced Counseling Practicum I, EPSY 6351/8351 Intermediate Statistics, REHS 8311 Seminar in Rehabilitation Research and Publication, REHS 8313 Rehabilitation Administration and Grant management, REHS 8317 Advanced Counseling Practicum II, EPSY 6352/8352 Multivariate Analysis, REHS 8314 Supervised Teaching Experience, REHS 7310 Research Topics in Rehabilitation, REHS 8318 Distance Education Teaching I, REHS 8300 Seminar in Dissertation Writing, REHS 8315 Internship Supervision Experience, REHS 9690 Dissertation, REHS 9690 Dissertation. Elective Courses (15 hours) may include REHS 6375 Multicultural Counseling, REHS 6380 Special Topics, REHS 7353 Seminar in Forensic and Private Rehabilitation, REHS 7354 Seminar in Assistive Technology, REHS 7355 Seminar in Addictions, REHS 7357 Seminar in Assessment, REHS 8101 Independent Study (may be repeated for up to 9 SCH), REHS 8356 Distance Education Teaching Experience II, REHS 8600 Counseling Internship.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Applicant must have earned graduate degree from an accredited institution in a related field in rehabilitation counseling with GPA of 3.25 or higher. They must have at least two years of work experience with people with disabilities performed concomitantly while earning a master's degree or postgraduate experience. All International applicants whose native language is not English must have obtained Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 500 for paper/pencil tests or 173 for computer based tests or 61 for internet-based tests. The minimum acceptable score for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is 6. The minimum test score for ACT is 18 and SAT 850.
