Ringkasan program
In this program, series of courses dealing with sociological theory and methods are the core of the program. The theory courses deal with the key issues and perspectives that have shaped the discipline: questions of how social order is produced, how change comes about, and how ideas are related to the structure of social relations. Methods courses are designed to enable students to achieve competence in conducting sociological research of various kinds. These include a wide range of qualitative and quantitative approaches. All students are required to have at the time of admission, or to obtain within their first two years of residence, a basic knowledge of statistics for the social sciences and basic knowledge of theoretical foundations of the discipline.
