Ringkasan program
This program is designed to provide the student with knowledge of advanced mathematics far greater than normally appears in typical physics curricula, so that the student is more adequately prepared than one in the regular option for mathematical study of fundamental physics. It will also appeal to the student with a strong interest in applied mathematics and in applying methods of mathematical physics to new problems that may arise in their careers. This option may be taken through either through physics or mathematics departments.

Students to be considered for admission must have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, presentation of evidence of potential to pursue graduate work, normally a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 base) for the last two years of undergraduate studies or satisfactory performance at the graduate level and GRE verbal and quantitative scores of over 500. International students whose primary language is not English should demonstrate their proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on paper-based, 213 on computer-based and 80 on Internet Based Exam (IBT).
