Ringkasan program
The program, environmental and occupational health sciences is a study that deals with the anticipation, identification and characterization of potentially harmful physical, chemical, and biological agents in community and workplace environments; identification and study of the relevant pathways of exposure; assessment of the effects of such agents on the environment and human health; and development of interventions to prevent or ameliorate problems associated with environmental or occupational contaminants.
Modul program
The core modules include PHWD 2106 Intro to Doctoral Research Methods in EOHS; PHD 2105 Doctoral Seminar; PHD 2101 Contemporary Issues in EOHS (doctoral level); any three of: PHD 2108 Applied Epid. Analyses in EOHS; PHD 2125 Med.-Geographic Info. Systems and Time Series Methods; PHD 2135 Risk Analysis - Principles and Practice; PHD 2170 Methods for Exposure Analysis; PHD 2190 Env and Occup Health Policy; PHD 2230 Water Environment; PHWD 2235 Global Env. Health; PHM 2290 Immunology; any one other non-'M' EOHS course may be included in the minimum of three makeup if not previously taken: PH 2175 Toxicology I, or equiv.; PHWM 2100 Foundations of EOHS, or equiv.; PH 1700 Intermediate Biostatistics, or equiv.; Minor Discipline: Management / Leadership: PH 3735 or PHD 3630 Healthcare Strategic Management or Health Planning, Implementation, Evaluation; PHD 3745 or PH 3744 Organizational Theory and Management or Understanding Organizational Behavior; PH 5215 or PH 5200 Advanced Leadership or Foundations of Leadership.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must obtain a master's degree with a strong background in other or related disciplines from an accredited institution. They should have a satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate: "B" (3.0 GPA) average or better in the undergraduate major, and in courses prerequisite to the proposed graduate study. They should have completed the GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, or SAT verbal examination.
