The Mechanical Specialization explores the fundamentals of engineering, emphasizes basic principles, and educates the student in the use of these principles to reach optimal design solutions for engineering problems. The objective of the mechanical specialization is to provide a competitively educated engineer who can: Effectively use the principles of statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, machine design, thermodynamics, fluids mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science for the design and analysis of practical engineering systems and Effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Each year, the engineering faculty in the mechanical specialization determines the graduating mechanical specialization student who has best distinguished himself or herself and recognizes this student as the Outstanding Engineering Graduate in the Mechanical Specialization.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have minimum TOEFL score of 525 for undergraduates and 550 for graduate students and they need to submit the results of SAT and/or ACT score(s). Students must also maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 in courses with the MAE prefix.
