The Department aims to assist students to develop an appreciation for the power and orderliness of logical thought, precision of expression, and the utility of mathematics. By properly selecting major and supporting courses, the student can prepare for careers in a variety of fields including research, business, government, and teaching. The Office of Residence Life and Housing (ORLH) at Morgan State University support and is an integral part of the educational and social development of students. Additionally, they provide a safe and comfortable living environment that enhances the academic success and achievements of the students. Students who live in residence halls are afforded a variety of opportunities for personal growth and development. They accomplish this through both structured and informal programs, and leadership opportunities throughout the academic year. The residence life program strives to provide an educational setting that integrates classroom and interpersonal experiences into a holistic learning experience. They also provide a living-learning environment that is conducive to the educational growth and personal development of the student. ORL provides quality residence hall programs, activities and living facilities that encourage student participation through hall government and leadership positions within the halls. The residence halls feature student rooms with telephone, computer and cable access, study rooms, laundry facilities and computer labs. They tailor residence life programs and activities to respond to the cultural, social, recreational and educational needs of students.
