This program will help students to develop to a greater understanding of what it means to be human through the study of history, literature, philosophy, religion, languages and world civilizations. Humanistic studies explores some of the central questions in life, such as the meaning of beauty, justice, and the “good life,” as well as the importance of language, culture and artistic expression. In this track students will study the development of values and their effect on cultural identity and change in western cultures from prehistory until the present. Students will also study values in other cultures to provide a basis for comparison.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants will have to typically meet or exceed the following college-preparatory unit standards from High School in the following areas; English, Science, Math, Social Studies, Academic Electives and Other Electives. In addition to college prep classes University also look at a number of other factors: Cumulative grade point average, ACT/SAT scores, Strength of college-preparatory curriculum in high school, Upward or downward trend in grades, Leadership and extra/co-curricular participation, Special talent/circumstances and Socio-economic background. Students whose native language is not English should have a english proficiency score; a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 213 on the computer based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
