This concurrent degree, offered in conjunction with the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics, offers the opportunity to combine the study of law and accountancy to better prepare lawyers to practice in an increasingly dynamic, interdisciplinary, and globalized marketplace.

The modules are Acct 530 Accounting for Public Sector Entities, Acct 561 Comparative Accounting Theory, Acct 584 Federal and State Taxes II If this course is taken, the student may NOT take Law 927, Business Entities Tax, Acct 585 Federal Gift and Estate Taxation If this course is taken, the student may NOT take Law 932, Estate Planning. Acct 586 Contemporary Management Accounting Issues, Acct 590 Advanced Auditing Seminar, Acct 592 Financial Accounting and Reporting Seminar, Law 907 Administrative Law, Law 910 Antitrust and Trade Regulation, Law 926 Bankruptcy, Law 919 Business Associations, Law 927 Business Entities Taxation If this course is taken, the student may NOT take Accounting 584, Federal and State Taxes II, Law 947 Environmental Law, Law 932 Estate Planning If this course is taken, the student may NOT take Accounting 585, Federal Gift and Estate Taxation, Law 915 International Business Transactions, Law 923 Negotiable Instruments, Bank Collections and Deposits, and Other Payment Systems, Law 925 Property Security, Law 916 Public International Law, Law 924 Sales, Law 920 Securities Regulation, Law 911 Suretyship and Guaranty, Law 922 Trademarks and Trade Dress, Law 908 Workplace Law.

Students should have a B.S., B.A. or B.B.A. degree from an accredited college or university with a Minimum undergraduate grade-point average 3.0. They should have a minimum GMAT score of 450. International students should have the following acceptable proof of English competency: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 79 on the internet test; IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.5; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with a score of 77; UI American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) with a Level 6 Pass; U.S. Education earned degree at accredited institution or successfully completed upper-level College English composition courses (at the discretion of the Graduate Admissions Office).
