Ringkasan program
In this program, students who have been admitted to the School of Law, who have satisfactorily completed 85 semester credits, and who have otherwise satisfied the requirements of the university and the School of Law are granted the J.D. degree provided that they obtain, at least two years before completing work for the J.D. degree, a B.A. or B.S. or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university; complete successfully prescribed first-year courses; complete successfully constitutional law II (LAW 644) and legal profession (LAW 649); fulfill a skills requirement and a writing requirement; have been full-time law students at the School of Law for at least six semesters or equivalent; and fulfill other requirements as may be imposed. Students in the School of Law may accrue up to 5 of the required 85 semester credits by successfully completing graduate-level courses or seminars at the University of Oregon. These courses must be relevant to their program of legal studies and approved in advance by the assistant dean for student affairs. A total of three years of full-time resident professional study in the University of Oregon School of Law or another law school of recognized standing is required for the J.D. degree. Except in unusual circumstances, the last two years must be in residence at the University of Oregon School of Law. In order to earn the statement of completion in public interest public service, a student must satisfactorily complete all the courses. In addition to completing the above-referenced curriculum, candidates for a statement of completion in public interest public service must fulfill the following experiential requirements complete 150 hours of supervised legal work in a nonprofit organization or government office; complete 50 hours of legal or non-legal volunteer work; and participate in a minimum of six hours of public interest-public service sponsored programs.

The modules are required first-year courses are 611, 612 Contracts (3, 3), 613, 614 Torts (3, 3), 615 Civil Procedure (4), 617 Property (4), 618 Criminal Law (3), 622, 623 Legal Research and Writing I, II (2, 2), 643 Constitutional Law I (3). Public Interest and Public Service Law Courses - three of the following courses: American Indian Policy, Children and the Law, Consumer Law, Criminal Investigation, Domestic Abuse Law, Domestic Violence Seminar, Elder Law, Employment Discrimination, Environmental Justice, Federal Civil Rights and Constitutional Litigation, Health Law, Human Rights and Environment, Human Rights Law, Immigration Law, Indian Law, International Environmental Law, Latinos and the Law, Labor Law, Lesbian and Gay Legal Issues, Nonprofit Organizations, Public Land Law, Sustainability, Wildlife Law, Water Resources Law, or Women and the Law. One of the following skills/legal systems courses: Administrative Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, European Community Law, Federal Jurisdiction, Federal Judicial Settlement Practice, Interviewing and Counseling, International Law, Litigation Practice and Procedure, Local Government Law, Mediation, Negotiation, Trial Practice Laboratory, or Remedies. One of the following experiential courses: Civil Practice Clinic, Criminal Defense Clinic, Criminal Prosecution Clinic, Deportation Defense Clinic, Domestic Violence Clinic, Environmental Clinic, Legislative Issues Workshop, Mediation Clinic, or Innocence Project.

Students must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.00 on the 4-point scale. Students must register with the JD Credential Assembly Service (JDCAS). The minimum TOEFL scores for international graduate admissions (which include law school) are 600 for the paper-based TOEFL and 90 for the internet-based TOEFL and the scores should be taken within the two years preceding the date of student’s application.
