Ringkasan program

This program is uniquely designed so that students can complete both a B.I.D. and an M. Arch in as few as seven years. It is centered on the design studio. They create concepts, drawings and models in the process of developing solutions to real architectural problems. Design studio projects begin with small buildings and increase in size and complexity as students advance through the program. They collaborate with students and expert faculty from multiple disciplines as well as develop an individual graduate project to complete the experience. The professional M. Arch prepares students for a career as a licensed architect. Other career paths include architect, construction manager, architectural engineer, marine architect, urban planner, community planner, architectural designer, architectural journalist/critic, architectural historian, architecture firm manager, interior designer, draftsperson, building researcher, design-builder, surveyor, art director, real estate broker, building inspector and set designer.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor degree. They should have a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 grade scale. International students should have the following acceptable proof of English competency: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 79 on the internet test; IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.5; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with a score of 77; UI American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) with a Level 6 Pass; U.S. Education earned degree at accredited institution or successfully completed upper-level College English composition courses (at the discretion of the Graduate Admissions Office).
