This joint program addresses the changing role of the community/public health advanced practice nurse (C/PHAPN) functioning in local to international public health arenas. The C/PHAPN needs knowledge and expertise in nursing, public health science, social and cultural sciences and the advanced practice nursing role in various public health settings. They function in administrative and clinical roles, with titles such as director, bureau chief, clinical specialist, consultant, coordinator or manager.

Testing Requirement: GRE required (PhD only), TOEFL required (if student's native language is not English), Two copies of transcripts, one copy in English and one in your native language, Three letters of recommendation from qualified individuals, Letter clearly stating applicant's detailed personal objectives and specific career goals, Application to School of Nursings Masters Track, Photocopy of current nursing license. Regular admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program requires completion of a nationally accredited baccalaureate program in nursing, a course in physical assessment, an undergraduate average of B or above, being licensed as a registered nurse in one state, and one year of work experience. Applicants are considered on an individual basis. Students who do not meet the grade-point requirement for regular admission status may be considered for admission through special admission categories. Applicants whose programs were not nationally accredited may request a special review. Letter clearly stating applicant's detailed personal objectives and specific career goals. Official transcript of all college coursework. TOEFL scores (for non-native English speakers).
