Ringkasan program
This program couples 21 hours of graduate study in government with 18 hours of graduate study in history. Graduates of the combined program write a professional paper and receive an M.A. in Government but have enough graduate hours to teach both history and government in Texas community colleges. Graduates are also qualified to teach dual credit courses in both history and government in Texas high schools.
Modul program
The program modules include at least 3 hours in U.S. politics, law, and government; at least 3 hours in global/comparative politics; at least 3 hours in political theory; at least 3 hours in politics and identities; Government 5603 “Professional Practices” (3 hours); Government 5973 Professional Paper (3 hours); 3 additional graduate hours in government of your choice; 18 additional graduate hours in history of your choice.

Students should have earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 3.5. International students, whose native language is not English, must demonstrate English language proficiency by obtaining minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper - based) or 213 (computer - based) or 79 (internet - based) or on the International English Language Test Service (IELTS) an overall band score of 6.5; or on the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) an overall score of 80 as evidence of English language proficiency is required. The GRE/GMAT requirement is waived.
