Ringkasan program
This program is designed for those who already possess initial licensure to teach in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts but have not earned a Master degree before. Students may only pursue professional licensure in a field in which they already hold an initial license. Each version of the program consists of core courses concerning pedagogy related to the student level and field, concentration courses concerning content related to the student’s level and field, and practitioner research courses.
Modul program
The program modules are as follows: Pedagogy Core (12 credits total): EDCG 630 - Inclusion K-12; EDCG 643 - Behavior and Classroom Management; EDCG 663 - Assessment in Teaching; CRCRTH 670 - Thinking, Learning and Computers; Content Core (12 credits total): Select 4 of the following courses: LAT 501 - Cicero LAT 503 - Roman Comedy; LAT 510 - Virgil LAT 525 - Literature in the Age of Nero; LAT 530 - Latin Love Poetry LAT 597 - Special Topics; Capstone Content and Pedagogy Core (12 credits total); Capstone Content (2 courses): LAT 515 - Methods of Teaching Latin; Select one of the following: APLING 605 - Theories and Principles of Language Teaching; APLING 611 - Methods and Materials in Foreign Language Education; APLING 625 - Second Language Acquisition; APLING 629 - The Structure of the English Language; Capstone Pedagogy (2 courses): Choose one of the following: EDCG 690 - Teacher Research for Professional Licensure; EDCG 696 - Independent Study; EDCG 697 - Special Topics in Education; EDCG 698 - Clinical Experience.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students should have a four-year bachelor degree from an accredited US college or university, or a degree which is in all respects equivalent. They should have a minimum cumulative grade point average in undergraduate work of 3.00. Miller's Analogy Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are required. In addition they should have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 for paper-based, 213 for computer-based, 79 for internet-based and IELTS score of 6.0. Applicants who have received at least four years of education (including their undergraduate program) in Australia, Canada (except Quebec), England, Ireland, Kenya, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, United States, or Wales are exempt from submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
