This program can be tailored to meet the unique professional needs of each student. In close consultation with a faculty advisor, the student develops a program that combines expertise in a specific professional area with interdisciplinary training in international studies. This program is an interdisciplinary degree offered for students who contemplate careers in international affairs, international development, diplomacy, international organizations, or domestic organizations with an international focus. A minimum of 73 credits must be completed for the degree. Graduates of this program serve as international technical advisers, cross-cultural trainers, career diplomats, analysts in developing countries, educators, community development professionals, administrators of international programs, and specialists in international business and trade.

Modul program

The modules are Required Courses (8 credits): Nonprofit Management I (PPPM 480) and one of the following: International Community Development (INTL 420), Aid to Developing Countries (INTL 422). Elective Courses (minimum of 8 credits) - Arts and Administration: Event Management (AAD 420), Arts Administration (AAD 460), Information Design and Presentation (AAD 483), Business Administration: Management: Creating Value through People (BA 316), Marketing: Creating Value for Customers (BA 317), Finance: Creating Value through Capital (BA 318), Economics: Urban and Regional Economic Problems (EC 330), Resource and Environmental Economic Issues (EC 333), Issues in Public Economics (EC 340), Problems and Issues in the Developing Economies (EC 390), International Studies: Cross-Cultural Communication (INTL 431), Planning, Public Policy and Management: Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector (PPPM 280), Community Leadership and Change (PPPM 325), Grant Proposal Writing (PPPM 422), Public and Nonprofit Financial Management (PPPM 424), Social Planning and Policy (PPPM 455), Resource Development for Nonprofit Organizations (PPPM 481), Practice of Leadership and Change (PPPM 494), Journalism and Communication: Principles of Advertising (J 340), Principles of Public Relations (J 350).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university, and is recommended to have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 or better for all academic work. Students must have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 575 on the paper-based test or 90 on the internet-based test and IELTS (academic module) overall band score of 7.0 is required.

The Department of International Studies offers bachelor of arts (B.A.), bachelor of science (B.S.), and master of arts (M.A.) degrees. The program is tailored to give students the theoretical tools to make sense of the fast-changing global arena; ensure the practical application of their research; immerse them in the language, history, and culture of a major world region; ensure they live, study, conduct research, or hold an internship in their region of interest; and help them develop a professional concentration area suitable for their career goals. The Department of International Studies is a member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs and the International Studies Association. Accommodation is provided at various residence halls such as Barnhart, Bean, Carson, Earl, Hamilton, Living-Learning Center, Riley and Walton. Room types ranges from Double which is available at Bean, Earl, Hamilton and Walton halls and cost of accommodation is $8211 per year, Double room with Sink is available at Carson hall only and costs $8610 per year. Enhanced double rooms is available at Earl, Living Learning Center and Walton halls and it costs $8610 per year, Deluxe double rooms is available at Barnhart and Hamilton and it cost $9805 per year, Enhanced Deluxe double rooms is available at Barnhart and it costs $12196 per year, Small Single rooms is available at Riley and Walton halls and it costs $9008 per year. Study lounges, television rooms, game areas, and laundry facilities are features in all the buildings. All rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, chair, blinds, wastebasket, recycle bin, and a closet for each resident. Most halls are single-gender by floor or wing, except in Barnhart, LLC, and Riley halls, which are single-gender by room. All buildings are nonsmoking. The highly rated dining program offers three meal plans as part of the room and board package; Deluxe Meal Plan - approximately nineteen meals/week-This plan is best for students who seldom skip a meal and occasionally treat a friend. Standard Meal Plan - approximately sixteen meals/week - This plan is the most popular, providing enough for meals and snacks throughout the week. Mini Meal Plan - approximately thirteen meals/week - This plan is designed for students who plan to eat a minimal number of meals on campus.
