The University of Oregon Law School offers a rigorous legal education with a curriculum that balances basic intellectual and analytic skills for the practice of law, an introduction to advanced and frontier areas of law, knowledge of the persistent values of law and the legal system, opportunities to develop hands-on legal skills. The School of Law offers a three-year, full-time professional curriculum leading to the doctor of jurisprudence (J.D.) degree; a two-year, full-time program leading to an interdisciplinary master’s degree (M.A. or M.S.) in conflict and dispute resolution; and a one-year, full-time program leading to a master of laws (LL.M.) in environmental law. The law school’s broad-based curriculum and clinical programs prepare students for careers in almost every practice area. Special centers and programs include business law and entrepreneurship, environmental law, dispute resolution, public interest law, a Portland program, and the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics. The Career Services office offers counseling, seminars, mentoring programs, and connections to UO law graduates throughout the world.

Family Housing and University Apartments offers a wonderful environment suited for students with children, students who are married or in a domestic partnership, or students at least twenty-one years of age. Agate Apartments: small, calming courtyard with wildflowers greets Agate Apartment residents after a long day at school. Agate Apartments is a cluster of three-story cedar buildings with a total of twenty apartments, each of which is slightly different from the next. It is situated on the same block as several restaurants, a fenced playground, bus routes, a video store, bakery, and pub. Agate residents also enjoy access to Ethernet (Internet access that does not tie up the phone line) and cable television. Agate is on the southeastern edge of campus, across the street from the track field, a stone's throw from the main campus. Rates- One Bedroom $514-$642, Two Bedrooms $623-$786. Graduate Village: Built in 2001, this seventy-two unit complex is made up of twenty-eight studios and forty-four one bedroom apartments. Graduate Village was designed specifically for graduate students living alone. Each unit has polished concrete floors, a modern bathroom and kitchen, and comfortable living and sleeping space. Graduate Village is a non-smoking community, located on the east side of campus, within walking distance of the law school, all other graduate programs, and the recreation center, as well as grocery stores, a pharmacy, restaurants, and a pub. This complex features secure exterior bicycle storage, a community courtyard, well-it walkways to the heart of campus, access to cable television, on-site laundry facilities, local telephone, and Ethernet (Internet that does not tie up the phone line). There are no pets allowed; however, aquarium fish are the exception. Rates- One Bedroom $590-$605. Built in the late 90s, this modern complex with views of the surrounding hills is an exceptional apartment community.
