This dual-degree prepares students for challenging public and private-sector careers at all levels of government and in not-for-profit organizations. The program, which is offered jointly with Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy (EJBSPPP), gives students the skills need to tackle complex public policy problems. Students will develop and refine their analytic and quantitative skills, become grounded in the functions of markets, and gain a thorough understanding of the political institutions and processes through which public policies are formulated and implemented.

A master degree is required for Ph.D. A bachelor degree is required for Masters for admission. TOEFL scores 540 Paper-Based Test (PBT), 207 Computer-Based Test (CBT), 76 Internet-Based Test (IBT) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Overall Band score of 6.5 or higher (if applicable). Acceptable scores for all colleges except the College of Nursing are 550+ on the paper and pencil test, 213+ on the computer test, or 79+ on the Internet-based test. For College of Nursing applicants, the acceptable scores are 600+ on the paper and pencil test, 250+ on the computer test, or 100+ on the Internet-based test. Only Official GRE (or MAT) scores sent or verified by ETS will be accepted.
