Ringkasan program

This program addresses the technology-oriented literacy landscape of the 21st century and provides students with the latest research and practical strategies to increase all students’ achievement, including that of linguistically, culturally, and academically diverse learners. Based on International Reading Association (IRA) standards, this program gives students the knowledge and skills to confidently manage their classroom literacy program and effectively address the complexities of teaching reading and writing in today’s classroom.

Modul program

The modules include: Core Courses: EDUC 6610 Teacher as Professional 3, EDUC 6640 Designing Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment 3, EDUC 6650 Enhancing Learning through Linguistic and Cultural Diversity 3, EDUC 6733 Action Research for Educators 3, EDUC 6657 Creating an Effective Classroom Learning Environment 3, Specialization Courses: EDUC 6705 Foundations of Reading and Literacy 3, EDUC 6706 The Beginning Reader, PreK-3 3, EDUC 6707 The Developing Reader, Grades 4-6 3, EDUC 6708 Literacy Development in a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Classroom 3, EDUC 6709 Literacy Development in an Academically Diverse Classroom 3.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have : A bachelor’s degree in a discipline or field related to the program/specialization for which application is made, from a U.S. school accredited by a regional, professional/specialized, or national accrediting organization recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or from an appropriately accredited non-U.S. institution; Names of and contact information for two persons qualified to comment knowledgeably on the applicant’s skills and professional and/or academic qualifications for study in the intended field.
