In this program students have an option to specialize in one of the following areas: plant breeding, tissue culture, plant genetics and cytogenetics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, crop production, sustainable agriculture, seed science and technology, plant physiology, plant pathology, horticulture, forestry, entomology, environmental science, remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), soil chemistry, soil fertility, soil microbiology or soil genesis, morphology and conservation.

Modul program

The modules are as follows: SPS 500 Techniques for Teaching Horticulture in K-12, SPS 501 - Floral and Garden Center Management, SPS 502 Scientific Writing, SPS 503 Techniques for Land Judging, SPS 505 Instrumental Techniques for Plant and Soil Science, SPS 506 Soil Microbiology, SPS 510 Forage Management, etc.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have a master’s degree for entering into Ph.D., and a bachelor degree for those entering into master’s program. They are required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale at the undergraduate level from a regionally accredited college/university. They should have a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based test), 173 (computer-based test) or 61 (internet-based test). They are required provide an evidence of receipt for the degree, comparable to the American bachelor's degree, which normally terminates 16 years of full-time study, 4 years of which are at the post-high school level. They must have a minimum score of 400 on the verbal and a combined verbal and quantitative score of 800 on the GRE. Some programs may require higher GRE scores (see departmental sections for detail). MBA students are required to have a minimum GMAT score of 350.
