Ringkasan program

This program trains students for jobs in education and sport administration. Jobs in this field are in high demand and salaries vary from state to state. It offers opportunities to become involved in nationally-recognized research and to work hand-in-hand with local schools to promote movement, physical activity, fitness and wellness. It provides graduates with the opportunity to help a sedentary generation plagued with decreasing wellness (e.g., obesity, low levels of fitness etc).

Modul program

The modules are PEP 522 Pedagogy Applied to HPERD 3 cr, PEP 544 Program Development 3 cr, PEP 504 Pediatric Physical Activity Assessment 3 cr, Electives in HPERD 3-6 cr, Specialization electives (3-6 cr): Electives in HPERD, C and I, SpEd 3-6 cr, Education coursework (6 cr): ED 510 Schools in Context 3 cr, EDCI 524 Models of Teaching 3 cr, Research coursework (6 cr): ED 571/574 Quantitative or Qualitative Methods in Research 3 cr or HPRD 570 Research in Physical Activity Theory and Design 3 cr, PEP 502 Directed Study 3 cr.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor degree. They should have a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 grade scale. International students should have the following acceptable proof of English competency: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 79 on the internet test; IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.5; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with a score of 77; UI American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) with a Level 6 Pass; U.S. Education earned degree at accredited institution or successfully completed upper-level College English composition courses (at the discretion of the Graduate Admissions Office).
