Ringkasan program
In this program, students will receive instruction in the chemistry of water, air and soil environments, geochemical cycles, processes that transform and transport pollutants, and remediation technologies.
Modul program
The Twin Cities Courses are CE 5541 Environmental Water Chemistry (3 cr), CE 5542 Experimental Methods in Environmental Engineering (3 cr), CE 8541 Aquatic Chemistry (3 cr), CE 8542 Chemistry of Organic Pollutants in Environmental Systems (3 cr), ESPM 4216 Contaminant Hydrology (2 cr), GEO 4401 Aqueous Environmental Chemistry (3 cr), GEO 4402 Biogeochemical Cycles in the Ocean (3 cr), PUBH 6190 Environmental Chemistry (3 cr), SOIL 5311 Soil Chemistry and Mineralogy (3 cr). The Duluth Courses are GEOL 5710 Aqueous Geochemistry/ Chemical Hydrogeology (3 cr), LIM 5102 Chemical Limnology (3 cr).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have a bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in a physical, chemical or biological science or engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale). General examination GRE scores are required. Recommended academic preparation includes two courses each in calculus, chemistry, and physics, and one course in the biological sciences; computer-literacy (i.e. knowledge of basic computing skills); and competency in statistics (generally a 5000-level statistics course is taken as a supporting program course). Further preparation may be expected from students wishing to specialize in certain areas of the program. A minimum TOEFL score of 80 is required for international students.
