The Program prepares its school counseling graduates to work together with teachers, administrators, parents, community members, and students to structure and facilitate learning experiences. School Counselors work with all members of the school community to help them enhance personal development and interpersonal communication. Studies in School Counseling at Goddard seek to apply the concept of comprehensive developmental guidance, which includes psychological education, human relations training, preventative mental health education, community education, and more traditional forms of individual and group counseling and assistance with career and academic planning. Graduates of Goddard’s low residency program in School Counseling are prepared to offer these services grounded in a vision of education as a means of personal and cultural development, with a commitment to helping young people evaluate and take responsibility for their own personal, educational, and career concerns.

A bachelor degree from an accredited institution in the related field, The general admission to goddard, the high school average required is 2.5 and college university requirement is 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.English Proficiency TOEFL 500 (paper based test), 61 (internet based test), 173 (computer based test), IELTS 6, MELAB 72, SAT 450 (Verbal), ACT 18 ( Reading )An exception to the requirement of proof of English proficiency will be made if the applicant is applying from a country where English is the native language or if the student has completed English academic courses at a college or university in the US (not ESL) with C grades or above.
