Ringkasan program
This program will pursue advanced study of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, and minerals and learn their relationship to health and disease while conducting research in nutrition assessment and experimental foods labs or in the local community. This program will prepare students to help people of all ages gain and maintain good health. In the programs, students will learn to assess the current nutrition level of patients, study obesity and weight control, and learn to develop appropriate diets and therapies. Courses will also cover the nutritional needs of athletes, pregnant women, infants, children, and older adults.

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for admission to graduate study toward a master’s degree: hold an earned bachelor’s degree from a college or university that is accredited by its regional accrediting association, satisfy one of the following: an undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (all undergraduate course work, including work completed prior to the baccalaureate degree, is used to calculate the GPA); a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in the latter half of the baccalaureate; an acceptable combination of cumulative GPA on the baccalaureate and score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) if the intended program is the master of business administration or the master of science in accounting; a minimum 3.0 GPA in 9 semester hours of graduate work approved by the chairperson of the major department, approved in advance by the graduate dean, as well as, obtain a score on a standardized admission test with national norms and meet departmental or program admission requirements.
