This is an interdisciplinary program focusing on the study of the Italian language, its manifestations in history, and its usage in the current cultural and social context; the literary and artistic aspects of Italian culture in the past and the present; the major historical events and developments in Italy; and the current political institutions and dynamics in Italy within the broader European framework.

The program modules are as follows: Year 1: 1001-02-03, Year 2: 2001-02-05, Year 3: Study abroad, 3010, 3702, Year 4: 3350, 3701, 3201, 2101 and 3702.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have a minimum TOEFL score of 525 for PBT, 70 for IBT, or a 6.0 on the IELTS, with no less than 5.5 on any individual band scores. Students who have completed, or will complete, a U.S.-style secondary/high school program, who have completed, or will complete, a Canadian-style secondary/high school program, either in Canada or overseas, students wishing to be considered for athletic scholarship and wishing to be considered for merit-based scholarships are strongly encouraged to have SAT or ACT results. Students who have met the English proficiency requirements are strongly encouraged to attend an interview.

The Department of Languages and Literatures offers the following undergraduate programs: majors and minors in French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish; minors in Classics, Japanese, and Chinese; beginning levels of study in Hebrew (through the Center for Judaic Studies) and Arabic.
