The goals of the program are to provide opportunities for individuals with the appropriate educational background to enhance their professional and personal lives through an enhanced understanding of psychological principles and their applications, Prepare for further study in the field at the doctoral level, Provide the necessary educational background and practicum experience, for those individuals wishing to practice in the mental health field as masters level psychologists or professional counselors.

The area of concentration are in Historical Foundations of Psychology, Advanced Social Psychology, Advanced Psychopathology, Methods of Research and Assessment, Statistical Analyses in Psychology, Developmental & Cognitive Assessment, Personality Assessment, Issues in Ethics and Professional Development, Career Development and Counseling, Psychopharmacology for Psychotherapists, Multicultural Counseling, Helping Relationship Skills, Counseling Theories, Group Process, Practicum.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students applying for admission must hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or its equivalent. An undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale is required. International students whose native or original language is not English are required to submit official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam. The minimum score accepted is 500 for written or 173 for computer. A transcript of a Graduate Record Examination or Miller Analogies Test scores submitted directly to the Office of Admissions from the Educational Testing service. .A candidate seeking admission into the MAT program must be a teacher under contract.
