This program is one of the largest and most diverse in the nation, with approximately 70 composition students and seven faculty members representing a variety of compositional aesthetics and approaches. Regular guest composer residencies, visiting new music specialists, and dozens of events each year provide students with a rich educational and artistic experience. An interdisciplinary center within UNT’s Division of Composition Studies, the Center for Experimental Music and Intermedia (CEMI) provides a unique environment for the exploration of time-based arts and is internationally renowned for its long history of innovation, particularly in the realm of electroacoustic music.

Modul program

The modules include MUCP 5180 Secondary Composition (3-6 hours); 3-6 hours of MUCP 5000-level courses selected in consultation with the related field advisor.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Students should have a 2.8 grade point average or higher on all undergraduate work or a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of their undergraduate degree or a 3.4 GPA on their master's degree. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
