This program is designed to help you prepare for positions of major responsibility in business and management. The program accommodates individuals with a variety of undergraduate backgrounds such as social and natural sciences, arts and humanities, and from professional fields such as business, engineering, education, nursing, and mathematics. The curriculum provides an opportunity to gain an understanding of, and develop useful managerial skills in, each of the major functional areas of management. Students who successfully complete the program will have developed increased skill and competence to make efficient and effective managerial decisions. A student accepted into the program with a satisfactory background in Phase I begins the course of study in Phase II. For this class of students, a minimum of 36 graduate credit hours must be completed toward graduation, of which 24 hours must be drawn from the core.

Admission requirements are bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Graduation index of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale (individual departments may set higher indexes). Academic ability for graduate work. Have three letters of recommendation. Have official transcript must be submitted for every institution of higher education attended. If a transcript is not in English, an official English translation, certified by the college or university, must be provided. An official transcript bears the original signature of the registrar and/or the original seal of the issuing institution. International degree-seeking applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores for Purdue University Graduate School admission.
