Ringkasan program

This program's main objective is to equip the student with the extensive background required for present day professional civil engineering practice in industry. The study program is intended to provide the student with more depth and breadth in chosen fields of civil engineering and related subjects than is possible within the B.S.C.E. degree program. The curriculum is design, construction, management, and operation oriented to enable a graduate of the program to cope with and solve current and future Civil Engineering problems. The M.C.E. degree is viewed as one which will not normally lead to entry in a Ph.D. program. It is not research oriented, as is the M.S.C.E. degree program. M.C.E. students are not eligible for financial aid in the form of teaching and/or research assistantship. Research in hydrosystems and water resources (HW) focuses on the study of natural environmental flows and includes such areas as, coastal and river hydrodynamics, contaminant transport in surface and subsurface flows, hydrology and computational hydrosciences, sediment transport, urban water resources and planning, water quality, and wave mechanics. Research teams of students and faculty engage in fundamental and applied interdisciplinary research, and use a combination of numerical, laboratory, and field experiments in their investigations. Course work in this program covers a broad range of topics that are aimed at giving students the fundamental tools needed for conducting scientific research and practical engineering.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have earned a four-year baccalaureate degree or higher degree from an accredited college or university, equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum acceptable GPA is 3.0/4.0 ("B") on last 60 hours attempted. Students should have secured a minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based) on the test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or overall band score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
