This program is designed for professional educators who desire competence as school library media and/or technology specialists. It may be planned to meet Alabama A or Georgia S-5 library-media certification. Students must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours.

Modul program

The courses include Instructional Support Courses (24 semester hours): EDMD 7000 Instructional Design and Development (3 hours), EDMD 7010 Instructional and Information Technologies (3 hours), EDMD 7100/7106 Selection and Use of Media for Youth (3 hours), EDMD 7110 Bibliographic Description, Organization, and Control (3 hours), EDMD 7120/7126 Information Sources, Services, and Instruction (3 hours), EDMD 7130 Administration of Media and Technology Services (3 hours), EDMD 7210/7216 Integration of Technology into Curriculum (3 hours), EDMD 7920 Internship (3 hours) [300 Clock Hours in K-12 Schools], Additional Courses (6 semester hours): Choose 1 from the following EPSY courses: EPSY 7400 Educational Psychology and the Practicing Professional (3 hours), EPSY 7420 Learning Theory and Educational Practice (3 hours), Choose 1 course from the following: CTRD 6710/6716 Literacy and Inquiry (3 hours), EDLD 7210 Multiprofessional Leadership (3 hours), EDLD 7330 Intro to Curriculum and Instructional Leadership (3 hours), EDLD 7340 Overview of Curriculum Process (3 hours), ERMA 7200/7206 Basic Methods of Educational Research (3 hours), Survey of Special Education Coursework: RSED 7000 Advanced Study of Exceptionalities (3 hours).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students to be considered for admission must have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a teacher certification at B-level (with bachelor's degree). They must have obtained any one of the following scores: a GPA of at least 2.75 on all undergraduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree; a GPA of at least 3.0 on all graduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a graduate degree; or an acceptable GRE scores with verbal score of above 400 and quantitative score of above 400. Also students whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in English language either with a TOEFL scores of at least 550 on the written test (213 on the computer based test, 79 on the Internet Based Test with 16 in each section) or IELTS scores of at least 6.5.
