This department is a relatively recent entry into the field of professional preparation of educational leaders poised to become school district Superintendents, and campus Principals and Assistant Principals. The advantages of being relatively new (since the mid-1990’s) include, but are not limited to, the ability to implement innovative, state-of-the-art programs developed to meet contemporary leadership challenges in the rapidly changing public school settings, rather than being encumbered with long standing and antiquated academic degrees and certification programs, and tenured faculty fiercely defending the status quo.

The university offers: Arlington Hall, Brazos House, Kalpana Chawla Hall, Lipscomb North, Lipscomb South, Trinity House. Each residence hall has a small community kitchen, available to all residents. Student may also purchase a Dining Services meal plan. Microwave cooking is allowed in rooms. However, hot plates, electric skillets, coffee pots, toaster ovens, or other appliances are not allowed. Residents may also bring or rent a refrigerator. Refrigerators may not exceed 4.3 cubic feet and are limited to one per room. Room Features are: Private and double occupancy rooms, Fully furnished, All utilities paid, Air-conditioned, Deluxe-cable TV service in each room, Dedicated Ethernet connection for each resident, Metro phone line in each room, Individual contract - no additional cost to you if other residents don’t pay.
