The program is ideal for global resources industry leaders and public sector policy makers dealing with developing non-renewable resources on a global scale. The program's philosophical foundations are built on the twin pillars of applying key methods and theories of international political economy (IPE) and comparative political economy (CPE) to understanding the role of the world's resources in the context of the human and natural environment.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicant should have a BS or BA with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale),or higher is required. Applicant must submit Graduate Record Examination score, letter of recommendations, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. For international students, a TOEFL score of 550 or higher (paper based) or 213 (computer based) is required.

Colorado School of Mines is a public research university devoted to engineering and applied science. It has the highest admissions standards of any public university in Colorado and among the highest of any public university in the U.S. Mines has distinguished itself by developing a curriculum and research program geared towards responsible stewardship of the earth and its resources. In addition to strong education and research programs in traditional fields of science and engineering, Mines is one of a very few institutions in the world having broad expertise in resource exploration, extraction, production and utilization. As such, Mines occupies a unique position among the world's institutions of higher education. Since its founding in 1874, the translation of the school's mission into educational programs has been influenced by the needs of society. Those needs are now focused more clearly than ever before. The world faces a crisis in balancing resource availability with environmental protection and Mines and its programs are central to the solution. Mines offer all the advantages of a world-class research institution with a size that allows for personal attention. With a student body of about 4,500, Mines has a student/faculty ratio of 14:1 and an average undergraduate class size of 33 students.

The apartment at Mines Park is an apartment complex that was built to provide convenient, affordable housing for the expanding Mines community. The complex was built in three different phases and has two apartments for both single students and families. There are one, two and three bedroom units for single students, and one and two bedroom units for families. The apartments are unfurnished. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher and an oven and range. Each bedroom has a hook up for expanded basic cable television and wired or wireless connection to the Mines network. There are two community centers at Mines Park. Both feature laundry facilities, television lounge, study area and a kitchen. A Convenience Store is featured at one of the community centers.
