Ringkasan program
The program require the completion of a minimum of 36 semester hours. Core coursework includes the examination of the social, political, economic, technological, legal and historical aspects of mass communication. Students will also learn to use the tools and techniques of social science research, such as statistical analysis, survey research, content analysis and experimental studies. A minor of at least 6 hours in another field is required for those students whose undergraduate degrees are in journalism. If as many as 12 hours of minor work are done, they may be divided equally between two approved fields.

The modules include JOUR 5040, Media Studies and Theories, JOUR 5050, Readings in Mass Communication, JOUR 5250, Research Methods I (Quantitative), JOUR 5260, Research Methods II (Qualitative).
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution. Students should have a 2.8 grade point average or higher on all undergraduate work or a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of their undergraduate degree or a 3.4 GPA on their master's degree. International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (Internet-based), score of 550 (Paper-based) and score of 213 (Computer-based) and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall band and also should have minimum MELAB (official version) score of 80 or higher.
