As the 21st century begins, the Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program is moving optimistically into a new millennium. Our progress since inception in 1992 has been phenomenal—we have educated over 700 highly competent physician assistants who are providing health care services in a variety of settings, all across the United States. The Midwestern University PA program selects highly qualified applicants who wish to participate in a challenging educational process. The training of physician assistants is approached very seriously by our faculty; students who are accepted into our program must share these convictions. We believe that providing health care to people is a privilege that must be earned—it is not bestowed capriciously.

Students can stay on campus. There are Redwood Halls I and II, Traditional Residence Hall and The pine apartments. The Living/Learning Center is a modern student residence facility that features 90 single occupancy residence hall rooms. Each room includes living space of 160 square feet; a bathroom shared by two residents; air conditioning; Internet wiring; cable TV; wall-to-wall carpeting; bunk-style beds; and built-in closets, dresser, desk, and wardrobe. Redwood Hall II is the addition to the Redwoods. It features a variety of floor plans, with single and double-occupancy rooms with a capacity of 131 residents. Each room includes a private or shared bathroom; air conditioning; Internet wiring; cable TV; wall-to-wall carpeting; and built-in closets, dresser, desk, and wardrobe. Redwood Hall II also includes the Perrin Meditation Room. The Traditional Residence Halls comprise six buildings ( Aspen Hall, Birch Hall, Chestnut Hall, Dogwood Hall, Elm Hall, Forest Lodge) nestled in the wooded section of campus. These units feature single occupancy rooms; living space of 224 square feet; a shared bathroom; Internet wiring; cable TV; wall-to-wall carpeting; beds; and built-in closets, dressers, and desks. The Pines apartments are tucked away between two groves of trees, providing both the convenience of on-campus living and the privacy of an apartment. Each of the 48 apartments offers living space of 500 square feet; Internet wiring; cable TV; kitchenette with stove and refrigerator; and central air conditioning and heating units.
