This program is designed to meet the needs of professional performers, composers, and studio or school music teachers who wish to pursue the curriculum as a terminal professional program or to use it as a foundation for doctoral study.

Modul program

The modules are Required Core (8 credits): MusC 521 Musical Analysis (3 credits), MusH 501 Seminar: Music History (2 credits), MusX 511 Bibliography and Research (3 credits), Required Major Courses (15 credits): MusA 524 Individual Instruction: Accompanying (8 credits), MusA 555 Performance Practices (1 credit), MusA 515 Accompanying (1 credit each, taken 4 times), MusA 565 Chamber Ensemble (1 credit each, taken twice), MusA 590 Recital (0 credits, taken 4 times), Electives (7 credits).

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor degree. They should have a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 grade scale. International students should have the following acceptable proof of English competency: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 79 on the internet test; IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.5; MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) with a score of 77; UI American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) with a Level 6 Pass; U.S. Education earned degree at accredited institution or successfully completed upper-level College English composition courses (at the discretion of the Graduate Admissions Office).
