Ringkasan program
The program focuses upon the public health practice related to prevention, assessment, and control of occupational and environmental exposures, and injuries and illnesses, which constitute major problems not only nationally but worldwide. Areas of faculty teaching and/or research interest in the division include: indoor and outdoor air quality, industrial hygiene, chronobiology, environmental microbiology, injury control, medical geography, occupational health, occupational medicine, toxicology, hydrology, and exposure assessment.
Modul program
The core modules include PHMW 2100 Foundations of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences; PHM 2610 Introduction to Epidemiology; PH 1690 or PH 1700 Foundations of Biostatistics or Intermediate Biostatistics (1700 strongly recommended, and required in some tracks); PH 1110 Social and Behavioral Aspects of Community Health; MAJOR COURSES: PHM 2101 Contemporary Issues in Environmental and Occupational Health; PHM 2130 Recognition of Environmental and Occupational Hazards; PH 2175 Toxicology I: Principles of Toxicology; PH 3725 Health and Safety Program Management (meets MPACH core requirement); ELECTIVES EOHS Elective; OTHER (e.g. CONCENTRATIONS); CULMINATING EXPERIENCE ; PH5998 or PH9998 Capstone Course and Exam Option, or Written Paper Option.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must obtain a baccalaureate or master's degree with a strong background in other or related disciplines from an accredited institution. They should have a satisfactory academic standing as an undergraduate: "B" (3.0 GPA) average or better in the undergraduate major, and in courses prerequisite to the proposed graduate study. They should have completed the GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, or SAT verbal examination.
