Nursing administration and Organizational Leadership in today's health care system is a complex and challenging undertaking. This specialty prepares clinicians with skills in organizational behavior, clinical operations and system design, quality measurement and risk management, fiscal operations and systemic change and project management. Specialized skills in organizational politics and policy development, implementation and impact analysis will be acquired. Working as an organizational leader, graduates are prepared for entry to mid-level clinical leadership and management positions, with promotion to executive level positions in a variety of settings possible. This program requires 37 semester credits which includes courses in the School of Nursing and specific courses in the Department of Health Policy and Management.

Testing Requirement: GRE required (PhD only), TOEFL required (if student's native language is not English), Two copies of transcripts, one copy in English and one in your native language, Three letters of recommendation from qualified individuals, Letter clearly stating applicant's detailed personal objectives and specific career goals, Application to School of Nursings Masters Track, Photocopy of current nursing license. Regular admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program requires completion of a nationally accredited baccalaureate program in nursing, a course in physical assessment, an undergraduate average of B or above, being licensed as a registered nurse in one state, and one year of work experience. Applicants are considered on an individual basis. Students who do not meet the grade-point requirement for regular admission status may be considered for admission through special admission categories. Applicants whose programs were not nationally accredited may request a special review. Letter clearly stating applicant's detailed personal objectives and specific career goals. Official transcript of all college coursework. TOEFL scores (for non-native English speakers).
